What is Skagit's mission?

Welcome to Skagit Valley Early Learning Center, a place dedicated to cultivating a nurturing and inclusive educational environment for children from birth to 6 years old. Our devoted faculty and staff are committed to acknowledging and celebrating the individuality of each child as a precious gift.

At Skagit Valley Early Learning Center, we embrace the philosophy that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that encourages exploration and play. Recognizing the crucial role of play in a child's development, we have crafted a curriculum that seamlessly integrates play into all facets of education, spanning from music and art to science and math. Through games, free play, and exploration, we endeavor to make learning a joyful and enriching experience for children of all ages.

Our mission extends beyond merely imparting knowledge; it is to empower children with the understanding that they are valuable individuals capable of problem-solving and self-discipline. We strive to prepare them for the real world by instilling essential skills that transcend academics. Whether nurturing a positive self-image or promoting fairness and understanding, our goal is to provide a foundation that supports the holistic development of each child'sphysically, socially, mentally, and emotionally

Our Story

Skagit Valley Early Learning Center underwent an official transition in May 2020. Formerly known as the Early Learning Center at Skagit, this dynamic initiative originated from Crossroad Covenant Church. It is a privilege to continue this ministry that was once started by Crossroads Covenant Church. Our mission remains  to serve the families of Skagit County by offering a safe, nurturing environment for all children, regardless of their background or socio-economic status.

Committed to excellence, we aspire to be a cornerstone in the community, dedicated to Skagit County's growth. As we embark on new chapters, we invite you to join our journey of nurturing the next generation. Our commitment extends beyond the families we serve; we also prioritize the growth of our dedicated staff. We support their educational pursuits, ensuring they have the resources and mentorship needed as they progress towards becoming future educators. At Skagit Valley Early Learning Center, we are more than just a program; we are a bridge, facilitating their academic journey while providing enriching experiences and education.
